The alarm is ringing for the September MAT Exam 2018 aspirants and it’s high time that you should embrace yourself to crack one of the most demanding management entrance tests if you want to join Top B-schools in India. September MAT 2018 will be conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) in both Offline and Online mode. The Offline or Paper-Based Test will be held on4th September and the Online or Computer-Based Exam will be held on 15th September. However, the application process has already started on 30th June. The last date to register for offline mode was 24th August. But you can still apply for the online mode before 8th. The duration of the test is 150 minutes i.e., 2 hours and 30 minutes that will be conducted from 10 AM to 12.30 PM, at various centres throughout India.

Management Aptitude Test score is accepted by over 600 Top B-schools across India. It is conducted four times a year (February, May, September and December. This Management Entrance test comprises of 200 objective type questions divided into five sections. The MBA Aspirants can choose their mode of test i.e., Offline or Online while filling up the Application Form.

Now let's see what the main difference between both the modes is.

Computer-based test or Online Mode: In this mode, the candidates need to submit the answer of the questions that are presented on the computer screen through the use of keyboard or mouse. This test is preferred by Aspirants having a basic knowledge about the use of Computer.

Paper-based test or Offline Mode: In this mode, candidates are required to mark their answers with Blue or Black Pen in the OMR sheets provided by the test centres.

However, making a judicious choice between Paper Based and Computer Based test depends upon your preference and test-solving skills. If you have a basic understanding of how to appear the computer-based tests such as the navigation tools, marking the answers and scrolling to different questions, you could go for a computer-based MAT exam. But, If you can read faster and understand better on printed paper, you will be able to answer promptly in Paper-based Test.

1. The MBA Aspirants should always know that time management is Most important while attempting the questions. Make sure you analyse the amount of time that you are going to spend on each section before sitting in the test.

2. First, attempt those questions which you are confident enough. Mark the questions which you are doubtful and which is time taking, and try to answer them at last.

3. Revise all the topics properly and stay positive.  Don’t study any topic at the last moment.

4. Target high percentile to be achieved, practice more and take mock test available at various websites
