Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is the only management entrance exam at national level which is held 4 times a year i.e., February, May, September and December. MAT score is accepted by more than 600 B-schools in India. This year, only the September and December MAT are left to be conducted.

AIMA has scheduled the test dates for September MAT on 2nd September for Paper Based and 15th September for Computer Based. MAT result will be announced on 21st September at its official website.

  • 1. The Top B-schools which consider MAT Score above 600, the percentile goes up to 95.
  • 2. The admissions in Top B-schools will be offered to the eligible MBA aspirants on the basis of scores obtained in the academics, MAT or other entrance exams, group discussion and interview.
  • 3. The validity of MAT scorecard is only for 1 year from the date in which result is released.

  • 1. Marking Scheme- MAT consists of 200 multiple choice questions (objective questions) carrying one mark each for every correct answer. But, for every wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted. However, unlike XAT no marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.
  • 2. Score Calculation - MAT scores are measured to account for the difference in the difficulty level for each MAT Exam conducted throughout the year. The Composite score in MAT symbolizes the average performance of the Aspirants.
  • 3. It is calculated on the basis of performance of the Aspirant in the first 4 sections including Language Comprehension, Data Analysis & Sufficiency Mathematical Skills, and Intelligence & Critical Reasoning.
  • 4. The scores obtained in Indian & Global Environment are not considered in the MAT composite score. However, the Aspirant has to secure a minimum score to qualify in the section.
