Computer Based Test or Online Mode

In the Computer Based Test, the aspirant has to sit in front of a computer system and log-in using their Registration Id. After reading all the guidelines and marking the checkbox on the ‘I understand’ option, the test will begin.

There will be questions on the left side with 4 options and a palate showed on the right side with question numbers marked from 1 to 100.

The palate will be in colouring scheme as given below-

·         All the question numbers will be in blue colour. After attempting questions, the colour changes to red. If an aspirant leaves any question, it remains in blue colour. If any questions are marked for review, a triangle shape will appear on the question number.

·         The aspirants have to mark their answers or responses using the keyboard or mouse. They can navigate from one section to another at any time.

De-merit of Computer Based Test- There might be chances of technical failure. Thus, the aspirant may be required to attempt the test again if the responses are not saved. Thus the aspirants must first verify that the computer system, mouse and keyboard are working well and inform the test hall invigilator if they find any issue.

However, the aspirants who are opting for Online mode or Computer Based, should be familiar with the use of the computer.

Paper-Based Test or Offline Mode

In case of Paper-Based test, the aspirant will be provided with a Question Booklet along with an OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) Sheet to mark their answers or responses with an HB Pencil. An aspirant can darken their response in the oval-shaped given in the OMR Sheet with a pencil.

De-merit of Paper- Based Test- In this mode, the aspirant has to flip the paper in the question booklet to move from one section to another and this is confusing and time-consuming also.
