Why Should You Appear for MAT Exam?

These days if you ask any MBA aspirant which entrance test he/she is targeting for, the obvious answers are CAT, XAT, NMAT, and others. However, when it comes to the MAT entrance exam then the number of entrants is quite less in number. But, with the passage of time, the importance of MAT conducted by AIMA is rising.

Why should you appear for MAT Exam?

MAT Exam is a great opportunity to get admissions into top MBA colleges for all those who didn’t perform well in other MBA entrances. Though, many don’t opt for this exam thinking that it is not highly credible. Still, we have listed down a few important reasons about why an MBA aspirant should appear MAT.

MAT Acceptance: One of the biggest advantages of appearing MAT is that it is accepted more than 600 MBA colleges across India except for the institutes who have their own entrance exam.

·         An easier MBA Entrance Exam: The difficulty level of MAT exam is simpler as compared to other MBA entrance exams like CAT, XAT and NMAT. The exam consists of five sections:

§  Data Analysis & Sufficiency

§  Language Comprehension

§  Intelligence & Critical Reasoning

§  Mathematical Skills

§  Indian & Global Environment

The above-mentioned sections are mostly covered in the syllabus of other MBA entrance exams as well and therefore this exam doesn’t need any kind of separate preparation. Cracking MAT is comparatively easier because of its simpler nature and wide syllabus.

·        MAT Exam happens 4 times in a year: Most of the MBA entrance exams like CAT, XAT, NMAT, and SNAP, etc. are conducted only once a year. This means if you haven’t performed well enough in any of these tests then you have to wait for an entire year to take up the test again. But, so is not the case in MAT entrance test as it is the only MBA entrance exam which is conducted 4 times a year, namely February, May, September, and December.

·         Online as well as offline Modes: MAT is one such entrance exam that is available in both modes i.e. Paper Based Test and Computer Based Test.  So, the candidates have the option to appear the exam in the modes which in turns gives the students the opportunity and chance of appearing the test according to your comfort, if you are not computer friendly.
